The Oxymoron of "Christian" Self Love...

...or "The Spiritual Pimps Who Peddle Perversity for Profit".

A Little Leaven presented this tasty tidbit on Absolute Dominion's nominee for the title of Living Arch-Apostate, Robert H. Shill-er, um, I mean Schuller, the godfather of the modern seeker senstive, purpose driven, emergent, man-centered non-gospel message of self-esteem and temporal "success".

I should also note here that one of the runners-up in our photo finish contest to be nominated as Living Arch-Apostate - Billy Graham - glowingly endorsed spiritual pornographer Shiller's magnum opus on man-love as can be seen on the rear cover (is this a Freudian slip?) of the tome pictured below. But to be perfectly frank here, I must say that I agree with Dr. Graham's assessment of Robert Shiller's ministry, it truly is amazing...it's amazing that the Jealous and Omnipotent God of all Creation hasn't unleashed lightening bolts or fire and brimstone mingled with blood from on high upon Robert Shiller's apostatizing head!

From A Little Leaven:

Here's a wonderful little book written by a very well known "Christian" minister. Hmmmm...doesn't scripture warn us against self-love?

(2 Timothy 3:1) But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self...5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.

Here's another thought. Where in scripture are we ever told to 'believe in ourselves'?
