John Hagee's Strange Fire

San Antonio mega church pastor John C. Hagee is a well known evangelical leader, but it's what you may not know about John Hagee that might surprise you. For example:

Did you know that John Hagee flatly refuses to preach the gospel to Jews and is on record stating as much?

His warped theology is known as dual covenant theology and is a satanic lie. As Dr. David Reagan well said this false doctrine "is one of the most convoluted forms of anti-Semitism because it is willing, in the name of love, to allow millions of Jews to go to hell".

The Houston Chronicle reported:

“John Hagee, fundamentalist pastor from San Antonio and friend of Israel, is truly a strange fish. ... The man has a mission. He’s out to attack anti-Semitism. He also believes that Jews can come to God without going through Jesus Christ.

The Houston newspaper then quoted Hagee’s own shocking words: “I’m not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith.”

And further revealed:

"In fact, trying to convert Jews is a ‘waste of time,’ he said. ‘The Jewish person who has his roots in Judaism is not going to convert to Christianity. There is no form of Christian evangelism that has failed so miserably as evangelizing the Jewish people. They (already) have a faith structure.’ Everyone else, whether Buddhist or Baha’i, needs to believe in Jesus, he says. But not Jews. Jews already have a covenant with God that has never been replaced by Christianity, he says."

Needless to say the inspired words of the Apostle Paul clearly refute John Hagee's perverse and demonic false doctrine.

Did you know John Hagee divorced the wife of his youth, an act which absolutely disqualifies him from continuing in the office of pastor?

Personal Freedom Outreach reports:

There are moral and ethical concerns with Hagee and a serious question as to his being biblically qualified as a pastor and teacher are not the main issues of this article. However, one very important factor should be noted. The Liberty Flame reported in May 1994 that during the time when Hagee was serving the Charismatic congregation at Trinity Church (1976) in San Antonio, he divorced his wife, resigned and married a young woman in the congregation, Diana Castro. Custody of Hagee’s two children by his ex-wife, Martha, went to her.

In a letter to the church, Hagee admitted immorality, which later became part of the court records in the custody battle. Martha later also remarried and started another family. Not surprisingly, there is a hiatus from 1976 to 1987 left out of Hagee’s web site biography.

The meaning of the phrase "husband of one wife" in 1 Timothy 3:2 ought to clear up any controversy of whether a pastor can be divorced or not. There is nothing mysterious about the Greek phrase used here which simply and literally means "one woman man."

Did you know John Hagee is a word-faith teaching, positive-confession espousing prosperity pimp?

John Hagee frequently makes heretical statements to the effect that when it comes to "giving" YOU determine what God can do based on your "gift". In effect his false doctrine turns the Almighty into a heavenly slot-machine who, if you hit the right combination, will spill out temporal fortunes which you can't contain. Pastor Hagee bases his heretical teachings from a few selected OT verses in Malachi and Psalms which have zero basis in, or relevance to the church. Friend, God is not a mechanistic impersonal divine slot-machine, He's a personal and loving Creator Who desires a relationship, not a temporal quid-pro-quo exchange of goods and services.

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. (Hosea 6:6)

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. (Psalm 50:10)

Did you know John Hagee allows unbelievers and apostates to preach from his pulpit?

John Hagee frequently allows unbelieving Jews to speak to his congregation from his pulpit during Sunday services. Imagine for a moment that instead of an unbelieving Jew Pastor Hagee invited an Islamic Mufti, or a Buddhist monk, or a Hindu priest, would that be okay? Or how about a good old fashioned Catholic liturgy from the pulpit at Cornerstone Church? After the service would Hagee's starry-eyed, brainwashed hangers-on gush over the adoration of the Eucharist and the beauty of the monstrance? Would they drive home joyously singing songs of praise to "Mary, Queen of Heaven"?

The unbelievers are bad enough, but one would hope that even the least discerning professing Christian could see the problem with having a non-Christian preaching from the pulpit of a supposedly Christian church! Nevertheless and never one to be outdone - even by himself - John Hagee parades a pantheon of apostates across his pulpit representing the entire abominable doctrinal spectrum of aberrant, heretical, and unorthodox beliefs. Kenneth Copeland, Rod Parsley, Jesse Duplantis, and Oneness Pentecostal heretic T.D. Jakes who denies the doctrine of the Trinity are all welcomed with open arms by the charlatan "Pastor" Hagee.

I've got to tell you, after what I've learned about this shameless spiritual snake-oil salesman thus far I'm half expecting at any moment for John Hagee to set up a gigantic metallic idol with outstretched arms on his stage, feed it with coals until it glows white hot, and then demand that his congregation to bring their newborn babies down front and place them into the fiery hands of his pagan god in order to obtain "the blessing".

John Hagee is a theological train wreck, a type of unholy Frankenstein's monster produced by the modern apostate professing church who is unfit to be called a pastor or a preacher. In point of fact he's a shameless spiritual prostitute of the lowest order and a disgusting parasite on the true Body of Christ; a biblical bottom-feeder who ought to be roundly and soundly rebuked by true Christians everywhere.

Do Muslims and Christians REALLY Worship the Same "God"?

The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them? (Jeremiah 8:9)

According to our current Commander in Chief, George W. Bush, they do, however this is a blatant falsehood, a deception born in the deepest pit of hell. Our aspiring Theologian in Chief made this same blasphemous declaration in 2003 during a joint press conference with then Prime Minister Tony Blair. Dhimmi Bush said:

"I do say that freedom is the Almighty's gift to every person. I also condition it by saying freedom is not America's gift to the world," Bush replied. "It's much greater than that, of course. And I believe we worship the same god," reported the London Telegraph.

How vulgar, how evil, how repugnant this statement is! Words fail me! Friend, there is One True Living God and He is the God of the Holy Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and those who are called by His name are called Christians!

I was absolutely incensed at George Bush's blasphemy in 2003 and now he's confirmed that it wasn't a slip up, it wasn't just another act of political prostitution, it's his firm conviction, he really believes the Holy One, the Ancient of Days is the same god as the pantheon of deities worshipped whether one is "Muslim, Christian, or any other religion". This is a revolting and offensive lie!

The hubris, arrogance, and ignorance on display here is simply breathtaking. Friend, I'm deeply offended by everyone and everything that smears the Holy name of our Lord and Savior. Everyone and everything that tramples His Word, denies His uniqueness, and treats His perfect, sinless shed blood as a light thing is the enemy of the One True Living God.

It's clear that George W. Bush's pastors have failed him. It's clear that he's never been taught properly from the Word of God. It's clear that he has been playing the harlot, claiming Christ as His Lord but denying the power thereof. There's no longer any doubt in my mind that he is a lost soul careening wildly toward the gates of hell on the broad path which leads to destruction. Let me be blunt here, it's impossible to be a true Christian and believe what George W. Bush says he believes. And since he's now twice publicly stated on the record that he believes that all religions worship the same "god", I'll take him at his word. I'm therefore forced to conclude that this is his true and closely held conviction, thus he is an unbeliever.

This man needs prayer.

This man needs godly Christian instruction.

But most of all this man needs Jesus.

And just in case you're not convinced, please read take a few moments to review the opposing viewpoints of the false religion of Islam as compared with the one true belief system that is orthodox Biblical Christianity linked below.

A Slice of Laodicea Flashback

I've graciously received permission from Ingrid Schlueter to reproduce Slice archives here at Absolute Dominion, therefore from time to time I'll be devoting space to highlights from both the original Slice site, and the more recent effort which was sadly lost due to web hosting debacle.

So sit back and enjoy as Absolute Dominion humbly presents selected Slice posts from a who's who procession of Biblically sound Christian thinkers representing the Christian blogosphere including the likes of: Pastor Ken Silva of Apprising Ministries and Christian Research Net, Jim Bublitz of Old Truth, and Ingrid Schlueter of VCY America and Slice of Laodicea.

Here is my latest column for Christian Worldview Network in honor of Ake Green's stand.

On the Lord's Day morning of July 20th, 2003, 60-year-old Pastor Ake Green ascended his pulpit in his small village church in Borgholm on the western coast of Sweden and opened his Bible. He began to preach humbly from God's Word. He spoke of the bondage of homosexuality and how despite what society says, it is a sin against God. He spoke of God's grace and redemption through the blood of Christ and he announced that there was a way out of the bondage of this sinful lifestyle through the Lord. In Sweden that summer morning, Pastor Green could not have known what that simple sermon would mean to him and his family. He had committed a crime in the eyes of the Swedish government. By preaching from God's Word, he had shown "gross disrespect" for homosexuals and had entered the ranks of criminals, officials said. After a long protracted court case in which the homosexual lobbyists sought to make an example of him, Pastor Green was sentenced on June 29th, 2004 to a month in prison for his "crime". The pastor appealed but the case has now been sent to the Swedish Supreme Court where the case will be heard on November 9. The small remnant of Christians in this hardened socialist nation is rallying around the pastor and his family as he looks at a possible two-year prison sentence for preaching the Gospel.

Somewhere in the go-go, materialistic West of the last few decades, the fact that following Christ will cost something has been obscured. As Christians in America more closely resemble the world, the price for following Christ isn't much of an issue these days. Joel Osteen isn't likely to be arrested anytime soon for his messages to his millions of adoring fans. Christianity is mainstream now; at least what passes for it. Conservative Evangelicals are still pumped from getting George Bush elected a second time and Christianity Today recently featured a muscle-flexing column on Evangelical power and influence in America entitled, "We're Prime Time Now, Baby!" We may be prime time, but are we faithful? I would suggest the evidence is to the contrary.

Pastor Ake Green understands something that we in America have yet to grasp. He is taking part in the fellowship of Christ's sufferings. He doesn't want his "best life now". He wants it later, when it counts forever. He and the millions of persecuted Christians around the world who understand that the message of the cross is hated and despised aren't deluding themselves by confusing temporal power with spiritual victory. They know that the road is narrow and difficult. But they also know that it is the only road that will take them to the Lamb.

The Swedish government needs to be confronted over the rank hypocrisy of a nation that views itself as tolerant, while criminalizing a village pastor over his views on the Bible. We should call the embassy in Washington and let Ambassador Lund know that the world is watching how Sweden treats this man. International pressure has ultimately forced the Chinese at times to back down from brutalizing house church leaders. Nothing disinfects like sunlight. But at the same time, let's not be surprised or shocked at what is happening, even though it is difficult to watch. Jesus said that if He was hated, so would we be hated. The servant is not better than his master, He said. The Lord is looking for a remnant Bride that will follow him no matter what the cost.

We in America have a choice to make. Persecution of Sweden's kind and certainly, China's kind has not yet made it to the shores of America. It may someday soon. Until then, how are we living our lives as American Christians? Are we prepared now to turn our backs on temporal comfort to gain the pleasure of our precious Savior, or are we selling our souls for a few more bowls of pottage? If we can't shoulder our crosses now in the midst of freedom, how will we manage when our choice is prison or denying Christ?

Ake Green has it right. May God sustain him and all of those around the world who know that taking up our crosses is not an option. It is essential if we are to navigate the path to the Celestial City.

Once to every man and nation, comes the moment to decide,
In the strife of truth with falsehood, for the good or evil side.
Some great cause, some great decision, offers each the bloom, or blight,
And that choice goes on forever, twixt that darkness and that light...

Though the cause of evil prosper, yet the truth alone is strong,
Though her portion be the scaffold and upon the throne be wrong
Yet that scaffold sways the future, and behind the dim unknown,
Standeth God within the shadow, keeping watch above His own.

Homosexuality as a Prophetic Sign

Hate the sin, but love the sinner...

This is always the correct position for Christians to take while we go about doing what the Lord has put us here to do. Of course, the number one purpose He has put us here for is to preach and teach whatsoever Jesus preached and taught while He was here in the flesh as the God/Man. God left us His Word – the Bible — so we will have written directions, directly from His perfect mind to our yet imperfect minds, on how to navigate through life. We are to look to Jesus for example. He is our Savior, but He is at the same time our Shepherd, to whom we should look for guidance during our every moment of life.

Jesus, throughout His ministry on earth, taught us to love others more than ourselves. So, we know, right up front, without having to pray about it, wring our hands over it, do any ritual, or do any other thing, that Jesus wants us – commands that — we love the person who is caught up in the sin of homosexuality, which the Word of God calls an abomination.

Let’s be clear: Every person ever born was or is a sinner. Although God hates sin with a perfect hatred, God is love and therefore He loves every person who has come into the human family because each person bears God's image and is specially created by Him. This also means He loves the person who is homosexual. But God did not create that person to be homosexual, which is nothing but a tragic and immoral choice to live in a horrendous sin. Homosexuality is a death-style, not a life-style, in God’s holy, omniscient eyes. Unless the person trapped by his own sinful choice into this way of death repents of the sin, and submits to Jesus as his or her Lord and Savior, there is a tremendous, eternal and fiery judgment to face. The Word of God says about homosexuality:

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was [fitting]” (Rom. 1: 24-27).

God’s Word says that those who engage in this practice against the laws of God will receive payment that will bring them great harm. And, God says, it is righteously so. To repeat, homosexuality is a death-style, not a life-style. Beyond the spiritual sickness caused by this sinful choice, we can also see the temporal diseases associated with such unhealthy and immoral sexual activity today. AIDS, Hepatitis C, Karposis Sarcoma, and many other deadly diseases can be attributed directly to homosexual lifestyle (death-style). Not only is this death-style deadly to individual homosexuals while they go about their debased activities, it has tragic effects on families and entire cultures – even civilizations.

Think for a moment about the nations of Africa. Some have more than 50 percent of their entire populations infected with AIDS. It is feared that every person in some of those countries could die from this disease. Edward Gibbon, the author of the volumes on “The Decline And Fall of the Roman Empire,” has implied throughout his histories that homosexuality is one of the last key indicators that a civilization, culture, or nation has sounded its death-knell. Egypt, Greece, Rome, and many less-known empires had at the time of their expiration the abomination we call today homosexuality. As Dr. J. Vernon McGee said: “God spoke to what He thinks of homosexuality. If you want His opinion, just look at Sodom and Gomorrah, and you’ll know.” God speaks very surely with judgment and wrath. But, He lays out His laws for avoiding that judgment carefully, because He wants men to repent and be cleansed so judgment and wrath can be avoided. He warns about homosexuality and consequences in verses such as follows:

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination” (Lev. 18:22).

“If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them” (Lev. 20:13).

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse ... For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due” (Rom. 1:18-19 and 26-27).

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Cor. 6:9-11).

Jesus told us that just before His sudden return, the world would again be like it was in the days of Noah. The world was, in the pre-flood era, just before the waters came, totally debased, and contaminated in most every way possible. Our world today is rapidly approaching - perhaps in some ways even surpassing - such debauchery, and contamination. Homosexuality is a raging sin-force, as we can see from the daily news.

Church leaders are also caught up in the practice, as we know. Hal Lindsey writes: “One of the signs of how far America has fallen is the case of Episcopal bishop, Gene Robinson. He's lived in an openly homosexual relationship with another man for 13 years. In spite of this, Robinson was elected as bishop by his diocese. But the church requires that a majority of convention delegates ratify his election. After the Anglican House of Deputies approved him as bishop by a vote of 128 to 63, the House of Bishops later approved him as bishop by a vote of 107 to 62".

Now don't get me wrong here, the Episcopal church is hardly the model for ecclesiastical faithfulness, but the fact that the majority of Episcopal leaders ratified him as a Bishop in direct defiance of the clear statements of the New and Old Testament is simply appalling. The Bible clearly warns that the great moral apostasy of the last days would be caused by the failure of so-called "Church leadership":

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth [the Bible] will be blasphemed" (2 Pet. 2:1-2).

Most all of those in the elite media and the liberal-minded in Christianity are pushing homosexuality as being a normal life-style. They are blaspheming the very God who created all things. They are calling Him a liar. Yet, He loves them and wants to bring them to their senses. God came to earth as the Savior for the express purpose of bringing lost and hopeless sinners into Christ’s fold for His own glory and good pleasure. We, as Christians who are appalled at what is happening all around us, must love those who would bring God’s judgment upon America and the world through legitimizing, enabling, and even encouraging this abominable sin, yet simultaneously we must remain strong and steadfast in our opposition to the deadly sin itself. Rampant homosexuality is a very troubling signal that the judgment of God is upon our generation.

It is time to “Look up, and lift up your head, for your Redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).

The Covenant God

I found the article below saved in a Word document on my hard drive. It's funny because I was searching for this very article on the Internet the other day to no avail, but happily I found it saved on my computer where it had been since January of 2004.

The piece was authored by Jack Kinsella and is one of the finest and simplest explanations I've ever found which addresses the hard question, "Why did Jesus have to die?" Read it and be blessed!

Why Did Jesus Have To Die?
One day as we were coming home from church, my grandson Bailey chirped, "Gwandad!! Jesus died for you!" There was a pause and he said, "He died on a Cross because bad men put him there. He was covered with boo-boos!" (Being three, Bailey is not up on all the latest medical terms, but he knew what he was talking about) "An' He died for Mummy and for Gwandma and because He loves us."

I was absorbing all this as I drove when Bailey asked me the next logical question, although I wasn't braced for it coming from a three-year-old.

"Gwanddad!"

"Yes, Bailey."

"Why did He have to die?"

When we got home, I tried to explain to a three-year old something that many adult Christians have difficulty explaining. Yet it is one of the first questions posed by the skeptic.

Why, indeed, if Jesus was God, did He have to die? To the skeptic, the whole Cross, Blood and death thing doesn't make any sense. I know many Christians to whom the answer is simply, "So He could be resurrected on the third day." That was never a satisfactory answer when I was a skeptic, either.

1 Peter 3:15 says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. . ." So let's do.

The Scripture says God's Justice demands a sacrifice, but for most Christians contending with the skeptic, that answer is unsatisfactory. The explanation that only a sinless man was qualified to take on the sins of the world makes sense, but it doesn't answer the nuts-and-bolts question of why He had to die. Not fully.

The answer to the nuts-and-bolts legalities is found, not in the New Testament, but rather in the Old. In Genesis Chapter 15, we find Abram questioning God's promise that his seed will be numbered as the stars of heaven and that they would inherit the land to which God had led him. Genesis 15:6 says "And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness." But Abram wanted a guarantee, nonetheless.

"And he [Abram] said, LORD God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?" (15:8)

It was then that God proposed a blood covenant after the manner of the Chaldeans. "And he [God] said unto him, [Abram] Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon."

Abram knew what to do next, since this was something he was familiar with. "And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not."

The blood covenant worked this way. The animals were slaughtered and cut up. The pieces were intermingled and then carefully arranged to form a kind of aisle through which the two parties to the covenant would walk together, hands joined.

The principle of a blood covenant, and the symbolism of the rended animal parts was clearly understood to Abram. Whoever broke the covenant would end up like those piles of animals.

A blood covenant was, by common custom, a joining of 2 or more persons, families, clans, tribes, or nations, where the participants agree to do or refrain from doing certain acts. More specifically, God had proposed a patriarchal covenant. The patriarchal form of covenant is a self-imposed obligation of a superior party, to the benefit of an inferior party. In this form, the terms the parties use to refer to each other are: father and son. God's proposal included not only Abram, but extended to Abram's seed forever. (Galatians 3:29 makes plain that Christians are also "Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.")

Are you still with me? Here's where we are so far. Abram has just prepared a blood covenant between himself and God in which his seed would forever be bound to God as heirs. To be an heir, under the implied terms of the covenant, also required being faithful to the Father.

Abram understood those terms and waited for God to appear. Consider the picture. Abram waited, driving away the carrion eaters from his grisly creation, waiting for God Himself to come down, join hands with Abram and together, they would swear a blood oath. God would be the Father of Abram and his descendants, who would then be required behave as sons to keep that covenant.

Genesis 15:12 records that as Abram waited for God, a deep sleep fell upon him. During that deep sleep, "it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:" (Genesis 15:17-18)

And there's the key! While the covenant was between Abram and God, by passing through the aisle alone, God signed the contract -- alone -- for both sides, binding Himself to keeping both parts. We know that Abram's seed did NOT remain faithful to the covenant. And violating the blood covenant demanded that somebody had to die. That was what justice required.

The Apostle Paul was, before his conversion on the road to Damascus, a Pharisee, or a religous lawyer, one well qualified to explain the law of covenant oaths. As Paul explains, "Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. (Galatians 3:9) Further. that "they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham." (3:9) And also, "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith." (3:11) Of the covenant that God signed on behalf of Abraham, Paul explains "Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto." (3:15)

The covenant could only be confirmed when the price demanded for its violation was paid in full. When the Law was given to Moses four centuries later, it was assumed by the Jews that to break it was to break the Abrahamic Covenant, for which the penalty was death. Remember, somebody had to die. But God signed on behalf of Abraham, and Paul pointed out the blood penalty required of the covenant was paid in full. "And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect."

Why did Jesus have to die? Because the covenant demanded satisfactory payment for its violation, and no one who had broken that covenant was qualified to stand in payment except those who signed it.

And God signed on behalf of Abram and his seed.

It is for that reason that God stepped out of eternity and into space and time. To keep the provisions of the original covenant and be a true Son, as it demanded. And having kept its terms on behalf of sinful humanity, it was incumbent upon Him to make payment, as justice demanded, for its violation by those on whose behalf the covenant was signed. To be torn and rended like the animals that formed the corridor through which God alone passed. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah (53:3) To make restitution on behalf of the seed of Abraham. You. Me. And everyone who ever broke its provision of faithfulness. All of us. Jesus made that payment on our behalf. On the Cross, as He gave up the ghost, Jesus cried with a loud voice 'it is finished' (Tetelestai!) meaning, literally, "paid in full."

The terms of the violated Covenant were met, its price was paid by its Signer. God's justice was fulfilled. That is why Jesus took on a human form and allowed Himself to be crucified by His own creation. That is the reason the Blood of Christ is so precious. Why nothing less would do.

Because justice demanded it.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

The Glory of the Father

I wanted to share the excerpt below from a C.H. Spurgeon sermon on Baptism:

Notice that, as we are raised up by a special work from among the dead, that rising is by divine power. Christ is brought again "from the dead by the glory of the Father." What means that? Why did it not say, "by the power of the Father"? Ah, beloved, glory is a grander word; for all the attributes of God are displayed in all their solemn pomp in the raising of Christ from the dead. There was the Lord's faithfulness; for had he not declared that his soul should not rest in hell, neither should His Holy One see corruption? Was not the love of the Father seen there? I am sure it was a delight to the heart of God to bring back life to the body of his dear Son. And so, when you and I are raised out of our death in sin, it is not merely God's power, it is not merely God's wisdom that is seen, it is "the glory of the Father." Oh, to think that every child of God that has been quickened has been quickened by "the glory of the Father. " It has taken not alone the Holy Spirit, and the work of Jesus, and the work of the Father, but the very "glory of the Father." If the tiniest spark of spiritual life has to be created by "the glory of the Father," what will be the glory of that life when it comes into its full perfection, and we shall be like Christ, and see him as he is! O beloved, value highly the new life which God has given you. Think of it as making you richer than if you had a sea of pearls, greater than if you were descended from the loftiest of princes. There is in you that which it required all the attributes of God to create. He could make a world by power alone, but you must be raised from the dead by "the glory of the Father."
